LDAP Configured, but not working

I just installed a fresh copy of Latest OSticket 1.9.4 I also added the LDAP/AD plug in. I have configured the LDAP plugin, which said was completed successfully, however when i type in an AD username in the new agent field, a dropdown box does not appear. What am I doing wrong, or how can I trouble shoot this?thanksDale

Sorry I dont follow you. What "new agent field"? In order for a new agent to auth against another back end (service) you need to add the account first, and set the "Authentication Backend" to the appropriate authentication source (Such as AD/LDAP, or any available).Please help us to help you by reading and following the posting

Ifigured it out (or rather one of my staff did..) In 1.9.4 users are referred to as Agents. I needed to put the path in front of the user that had access to the AD...

Actually that's not true. Users are not Agents.Users are Clients (ie those who are not Staff or Agents). In some setups Users can be employees and may share the same authentication source (Such as an AD server) with Staff/Agents.Staff are Agents. (ie employees that have access to the ticket system back end to process and update tickets, close tickets, etc.

In my system, users are Agents, because I am using it to support an internal function. ticket submitters do not log into my osticket.

In osTicket the term "user" never means "agents". These terms have been defined to mean what I defined previously. You can personally call them whatever you want, but when you are posting here if you way your users, you mean those with accounts classified as users, not agents.
