It would be great to offer a API to get tickets that match some filters, reply to a ticket, get departments, etc... (something like osticket-soap-mod SOAP implementation by cyberde)

This let the users to integrate osTicket with their applications in an easy way.

This appears to be a feedback/suggestion, not a request for help or a mod request.As a side note this feature is currently planned.

retrieve ticket details.

get list of tickets issued by one user.

get list of tickets assigned to an agent (staff member).

post a reply message to one ticket with updated status. i.e. change ticket status from open to closed.
