Your statement that you have two managers in the department appears to be erroneous.
@[deleted]:I dis-agree here (kind of)Let me explain:In our company we also have (kind of) a structure with 2 department managers. Actually it's one "real" department manager (e.g. manager of department A) and hierarchically above that department manager there is a so-called "division manager". A division manager is there to manage multiple departments (e.g. department A and B), but is also a department manager of each department he/she manages (he/she has the same rights, but is in a higher position called "division manager"). To give an example based on another discusssion with IT department that is splitted into hardware and software:Departments:IT - HardwareIT - SoftwareDivision Manager: Manages IT - Hardware and IT - Software departments with the same privileges as:Department Manager A: Manages only IT - Hardware departmentDepartment Manager B: Manages only IT - Software departmentBeside that, let me add / tell you that there are no other members / employees in a division - just the division manager and no one else, so it's not like "that's just another department" and there is also nothing like a "sub-department", because then there would no "parent department" and we would only have sub-departments which would make no sense Hope you understand it that there are possibilities in some companies to have multiple department managers and not just one.
