Configuring Attachment option

Hello everyone,

I am trying to install osTicket on my webserver hosted with 1and1.com. Installed under /ticket and everything seems to be working so far from the admin panel. I have created a folder under 'ticket' named 'attachments' with permissions 777 (will change once I can get it working). However, when attempted to configure from control panel, gives the error "Directory must be valid and writeable" and "Invalid upload dir".

Is there anything I missed? I think the absolute path is "/ticket/attachments". Is that correct?

Same Issue

I just installed osTicket - and I am getting the same error with a 777 set for the permissions. The directory that I am trying to set is /public_html/support/upload. I have tried putting '/public_html/support/upload', 'upload', 'support/upload' in the setting - but I get an error each time.

Anyone fixed this issue? I will browse the forum further to see if there is any answer.

Found the solution:

Since it is a hosted environment, the "/" is not really the root. The absolute path should look like "/homepage/X/xxxxxxxx1/htdocs/ticket/attachments"

Once entered this path, it was accepted.
