Need some help.

I have a working osticket 1.6ST install on my home server. I set it up for testing and customization. Now we are trying to move it to the server at work.

The work server had a fresh install of osticket 1.6St and I overwrote that with my customized version and copied my mysql database over as well.

When I try to access it on the work server I am getting permission errors.

Example:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /osticket/scp/admin.php on this server.

Checked the file permissions and they are identical so I'm not sure what could be causing the error. I would appreciate any help.

I just did chmod -R 777 to the whole folder… still no go

fixed it

if anyone runs into this same issue it had something to do with apache being the owner of the files. One of my devs fixed it by making root own the files and directories. Then they began working as expected.

You haven't really provided us with all the information that we would need to give you specifics.

Are the servers running the same OS (and version)?

Is Apache being run on the new server as a different user?

Is it possible that the new server is running a security application that is blocking the access?

Sorry, I wasn't too sure on the specifics myself. We managed to figure it out by making root own the files and directories.

I think Apache on the new server was being run as a different user.

I do know the new server was centos and apache was a different version.
