How to set up receiving Ticket alert, only for my departmant.

Hi folks, please i help i have 2 help topic, the IT Support and Engineering support... How can i separate the alert from osticket. For example a new ticket select the IT support on Help topic and only IT will receive the alert, not Engineering Department and their Staff.... :) Thanks in advance...:)

I imagine that if you were to make the department manager email an email list and then turn on Admin panel -> Settings -> Alerts & Notices -> New Ticket Alert: -> Department Manager it would probably have the desired effect. We do exactly that because it seemed easier then anything else.
