[resolved] "Strip Quoted Reply" not working?

Hi,I just updated to version 1.9.2. I'm not sure if it's because of the update, or if I accidentally changed something, but it seems that the "Strip Quoted Reply" feature is suddenly not working.Here are my settings: blank The full text in the "Reply Separator Tag" field is------Please do not edit the text below when replying. Instead, please reply above this line.------Then, in my email templates, I pasted exactly that line as the first line. However, when a user answers to the system email, the ticket thread on OSTicket shows the entire email, while I thought that all text after the separator tag would be stripped off.I also tried to remove all html tags around the separator line in the email, but still, email text is not being stripped off.Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?Thank you!!!

Just for testing, why don't you set it to something shorter, like say "-- do not edit --" and see if that works.

Hi ntozier,thanks a lot, you are right, my text was just too long. I made it shorter, and all works well.Here's another constructive thought for the developers: Maybe they could limit the field length for the text delimiter to the max size that can actually be handled.Again, thank you very much!

I don't think that there is actually a length issue (other than what can be held in a text field in mysql)... I honestly thought that maybe you typo-ed writing the same line twice, or that it didn't like the punctuation in the middle or something. Feel free to play with the string and see if you can find where it breaks. :)

Oh, I see. Fair enough, I will indeed play around with it a bit. But actually, so far I found something which is not really new: Shorter is better ;)Thanks again for looking into it!

Just for the record, in case somebody stumbles across this thread. What I did now is the following:I use this "Reply Separator Tag": --- Kindly reply above this line ---In all "End User Ticket Templates", I added this as the first line:<font color="blue">--- Kindly reply above this line ---</font>And all works perfectly fine. The only thing I noticed: After saving the templates, the separator line shows in blue as expected in the sent emails. However, when editing the templates, the HTML tags <font color="blue"> disappeared. Anyway, the text is still sent in blue, so I don't really care :)Thanks again ntozier for being so helpful, much appreciated.
