I was editing one of osTicket's snazzy default HTML email templates, made some changes in the GUI editor, decided I didn't like them, clicked "reset changes", then "cancel changes". The result was that I lost a lot of the formatting of that template. Not sure what happened or why, so I'm sure this won't be of much help, but try playing around with formatting, canceling changes, and seeing what happens.
