[resolved] OSTicket And Virtualisation

Hi everyone,

as always before my contributions is the comment that the text is translated by machine.

I´ve the following Problem. Two virtual test server for ticketing systems were provided me. VMWare sphere works as a hypervisor. OSTicket is running on one server. The UHD runs wonderfully (LDAP, mail collection, etc.). I have problems with sending email via SMTP in this environment. It is the error message:

Sending email via SMTP failed to connect to xxx.xx.xxx-xx.de: 25

(I hope the error message is translated understandable, because it appears to me in German language).

The port, protocol, and " yes " in Authentication required are correct. The message is, for me , osTicket can reach the Exchange-Server, but can´t establish a connection, because access rights are missing.

On the second server is running OTRS. There content is the same message.

In a physical environment I have no problems. Has anyone had similar experiences and has an idea ?

System:

VMWare Sphere

Windows2008r2

Xampp(Apache 2.4.9, MySQL 5.6.16)

osTicket 1.9

Plugins : LDAP v.0.5

I´ve found the Solution.The problem lay in the ePO policies Mcafee Enterprise 8. the e-mail delivery was set too restrictive.

Thank you for posting what the solution was to your problem here, hopefully if someone else is running McAffee and they run into a similar issue they will see this and it will help them. Closing thread, but please feel free to start another one is anything else comes up.
