Language Paket/Customer Interface

Good day everybody,

this text is machine translated because my English is very bad.

First, my thanks to the developers of osTicket for the LDAP implementation and the choice of the customer application(in Version 1.9).

I have two questions and i hope somebody can help me.

1. Is there a functioning German language pack for version 1.9?

2. Is it possible that a fixed entry and no drop-down menu will be displayed in the customer interface under "Help Topic " ?

Translations have not been completed at this time.Help Topic is a drop down, and you can add and control the help topics it displays.

You could get a German language pack from here:http://osticket.com/download-edgeIt's a kind of beta language I guess.It's a phar file which you put in your /includes/i18n directory. Works for the Dutch translation, except for 1 piece which you have to edit manually because it only says "array".

It also does not translate everything as its currently only in phase II of translation.

I've done the same , unfortunately without success.

I've got problem with the Help Topic in the customer interface solved so that there is only one choice.

Is there a way to remove the field from the input mask ? OsTicket is only intended for internal use only and all tickets will arrive at a central location.

@[deleted]: I don't quite understand which input mask from which field you are talking about.But if you want to remove the language pack, switch back to English, make it default (you have to do that in 2 places) and delete the German translation from within Osticket.Sorry if that's not what ment.

Your Guide to install the language package I had also carried out , but without success.

My major problem concerns the question of whether the customer interface of the item "Select a HelpTopic" can be removed ? If not there is the possibility there to deposit a fixed entry ?

@[deleted]: There might be a possibility to remove the "Select a HelpTopic" but I would advise against it because it's probably present in the database.I did a grep on all files looking for "select a" and did not find anything with Help or help. So it's probably in the database.

I´ve found a Solution in the German Forum.You can create a hard-coded Entry. Delete Line 36 in the File ...\include\client\open.inc.php.In the Customerinterface stand now automatically the definied Help Topics entry.
