My hosting provider is user cPanel and I am installing osticket  1.8.1.2 from there. At the installation I specify admin@mydonain as admin mail. After installation is complete I go to Settings->Email and press Save (without changing anything)Then an error occurs saying  "* Email already setup as system email" for Admin's Email Address. I don`t understand how could this be error and in the same time be the default.

You configured the email already at:Admin panel -> Settings -> EmailsOr at: Admin panel -> EmailsOr at:Admin panel -> Staff

Yes, and I went on to change my password just after install. On the My preferences page I type in my current password, my new and I receive an error: "* Email already setup as system emailThis means that if I am an Admin of a brand new installation I can not change my password without changing mail email.

You cannot have the same email address in more than one place.

Ok. But why is this the default behaviour if it is not allowed?

I have no idea what you mean.
