Validation of customer email addresses when submitting new incident

Hi,

New user here and I am looking for a way to validate the email addresses that are entered by the end user.

I might have overlooked something here but I was not seeing anything like this on the forum.

We use the product internally only and I would like to ensure the end users only use an email address of user@ourdomain.com and throw an error if user@somethingelse.com was used.

We just upgraded to v1.8.1.2 and all seems well except for this one thing that may just end up being a feature request.

Any help would be appreciated.

I remember someone doing something like this (or at least talking about it on the forums) in the past... but I think that it might have been for version 1.6ST. I think that you would be able to do that with a a ticket filter.Admin panel -> Manage -> Ticket FiltersAdd new filtername: fooexecution order: 1Fitler status: activetarget: anyFilter Rules:Email, DOES NOT CONTAIN, ourdomain.comcheck Reject TicketI have no idea how it would report it to the user though since I haven't tried to do it.

Yep, that seemed to do the trick as it gives this error at the top of the submission page but does not tell you where the issue is.

They will see this message: "This helpdesk is for use by authorized users only" and you can then edit the form.
