Hello,
I have some interesting MOD's for 1.6 ST which I will be posting for all in the MODS forums shortly. I think some of them would be incredibly useful to all if they were to be folded into 1.7 release. I do not have the time right now to port them over to 1.7. How would one go about suggesting/ submitting these features with code for future releases?
The MODS include:
1. Ticket linking---Done
- Works great for connecting like tickets. Scenario where one needs to track outages without merging tickets and losing the number of true support calls
- also useful to use for new hires with an organization or to track tickets which might have multiple tasks. 1 ticket per task linked together to a single Master ticket.
- OSticket I know is also used as a feedback platform for many so linking common feedback items together could be incredibly useful to determine the most popular ones by count
2. Ticket Categorization---Done
- allows a 4 tier ticket categorization per ticket
- includes an admin categorization creation tab where each tier can be edited, deleted or created
- logic is included to not allow deletion of categories which have already been used but will hide them from future use by making their status inactive
- this will allow for truly robust reporting and allow for pro-active problem solving
3. AD Pass-through Authentication:
- to be used by staff, admins and end users where available
- More details to follow as this is still a work in progress
4. Add View all open tickets--Done
- there has been a few iterations of this in the MODS forums
- the need to see ALL open tickets (isanswered & open) in one view is key for ticket queue monitoring
