User unable to 'open new ticket' when logged in / form fields requirements enabled

I am using osTicket (v1.8.0.1).I have certain form fields marked required for when a user creates a ticket. It works fine until the user logs in (ie. checking the status of an existing ticket), and then clicks the button to Open New Ticket. From that screen, they receive an error when creating a ticket. Since the require fields are not showing on this screen (since they were previous filled out/saved), the system is having trouble moving forward.Anyone experience this issue?
