Signature - maximum length limited to 255 characters

Hello,is there a serious reason for limitting the length of the signature field "signature" in the mysql table "ost_staff" to 255 ( = tinytext)? This is much too short! I altered the field type to "text" and it works. Would be nice if the installation sets "text" as default field type for "signature".Thanks.Andreas

This has been covered in the forums several times in the past. Feel free to change the size of field in your database. The devs recommend that if you need a larger signature that you put it into the templates. I'm not seeing a question, so I'm closing this thread since your are already resolved.
