I'm new to OSticket. I just downloaded and installed to our webserver and have started to configure and test. Things are going well, but I'm having a hard time understanding how user information is handled.
This user is submitting a ticket with the name "Matt Clark" and a phone number of "444-555-6666". The ticket get's submitted just fine, but since this email address is already in the system the Name and Phone Number entered in this screenshot don't get attached to the ticket. Instead, just the information that was originally entered by the user is available.
Here you can see the name on the ticket shows up as "mattclark" and the
phone number of "111-222-3333"(instead of what they entered while
creating the latest ticket).Is this by design, a bug, or do I
have something not configured correctly? If this is by design, why is
the software even asking for a Name or Phone number if it doesn't get
saved?
