Hi,I m trying to upgrade my current version called 1.7.5 to 1.8.1.After uploading and trying to run, the following error coming. Please let me know the reason.Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in{path}helpdesk/include/class.plugin.php on line 110

This is a suggestion for anybody who likes to load more than a few of these php free web apps. If you load apache and php on your computer and get your apps running locally (which is much easier this way) you need to just upload your WORKING database and app to your host. Since I own a web hosting company, I almost never have these persistent problems that people have trying to remotely configure web apps and other software onto servers. I load them on my servers like anybody else would load them on their computers. Like I said, I never have problems that occur with remotely configuring software.I can load apache, php, and mysql on any computer or server in about 5 minutes so it doesn't take a lot of work and time.

Please enable the MySQLi extension in your PHP. To do this varies slightly by server host OS.Windowsmysqli is not enabled by default so you have to edit your php.ini and in the section un-comment the line for or add the following line:extension=php_mysqli.dllYou may not have a section in your php.ini, if this is the case simply add it to the end of the file.Note: This extension should have shipped with PHP, but if for some reason you do not have it in your /ext folder you will need to get the version that corresponds to the version of PHP that you have installed from php.net.*nixInstall the php5-mysqli package using the method for your distribution. Since this module is a part of PHP by default you may just need to edit your php.ini and un-comment or add a line in the extension section that reads:extension=mysqli.so

That's not an error. That's the screen telling you what the upgrader is going to do. I do not see an error at all in your post.
