Hi,

I'm using 1.8.0.1

May be it requires a small fix or i'm missing something easy here, but while testing I created tickets with my own official email id and gave my name as Test user. Now that the system is Live in production, I want to change my staff account email id as my own official email, but it gives an error that email is used by another member ?

Not sure how to fix this, any help would be great

I deleted the tickets which I created using my official email account, but now I can't search for tickets using my email account. So now that there are no tickets in the system, but the user still exists. So how to edit information now ? All I want is that, I being a staff in my company should have my own official email mapped to it..

aahh..I know I shouldn't have done it but now I'm stuck :(

Create a new ticket with that email address.Then edit the user like the directions said. :)

I tried, again the same problem.user was updated successfully , but now if I update my staff details, it gives the same error

ok now its fixed, I used an alternate email id and assigned it to Admin accountand then swapped.Thanks a lot for your kind help !

Then you didn't edit the email address of the client... but it sounds like your all set now.There should be a ui coming soon for Client editing which should help alleviate this sort of issue.Closing thread, but feel free to post again should you encounter further difficulties.
