Upgrading from 1.7.2 to 1.8.0.2 help

Hi guys,I am currently trying to upgrade osTicket from 1.7.2 to the latest 1.8 version. Following the wiki http://osticket.com/wiki/Upgrade_and_Migration, I upload the contents of the upload folder to /var/www/support overwriting all of the files in there. Afterwards, when I go to the SCP login page(ipaddress/support/scp) all I get is blank page. I do not even get the login screen that normally comes up. When I restore the contents of the support folder everything works like it did. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am running osTicket on:Ubuntu Server 12.04Apache Server 2.2.22PHP 5.3MySQL 5.5.35

Pretty sure i am doing something wrong, just not sure what. Would greatly appreciate somebodies help with this.

Check your php error log and see what it says.

Thanks for the idea. Looked in the logs and found that there was a permission denied when trying to open main.inc.php.

I have tried openning up permissions up on the main.inc.php file but I still get the same error.

Figured it out!

kept pondering the issue and realized that the error meant on line 23 in the main.inc.php file was the issue. Then I realized that when I copied the new files to the support directory, the file permissions changed. Changed all of the permissions in the support directory to chmod 755 and now I am upgraded to the latest greatest!
