IMAP Email Fetch Issue - Worked once, won't work again

So I've tried to setup OS ticket to recieve mails from one of my Exchange accounts. The Exchange is on a different server so I chose to use IMAP to gather as I don't believe Exchange supports piping?

Regardless of whether it does or not, I set up a new task in Task Scheduler on the Exchange server, repeat every 5 minutes, open iexplore.exe http://osticket/api/cron.php . It ran and gathered the contents of the mailbox, brilliant! BUT, it refuses to do it again. After some checking I thought it was because cron.php was for when the mail server is local but I don't understand why it would work the first time. On that thought I have tried running rcron.php through the task scheduler instead but no result either.

If anyone could shed some light I'd be grateful or if you need more info i'll do my best.

Okay, I've turned on Auto-cron, and things seem to be coming through now. I've been messing with the exchange server all day so there's no telling what fixed it, well kind of, they're not coming through on the desired refresh rate, but it's close enough.

I'm still interested if anyone has any ideas of what's causing it though.

IF autocron is turned on it will attempt to trigger on staff activity.If you are running Windows Task Scheduler on a remote machine you should be using rcron.php (which takes some editing/configuration of the rcron script).If you are running cron or Windows Task Scheduler on the same machine as the webserver you should use the cron.php
