Pre-Installation Error

I am having difficulty in setting up OsTicket. Please see

the errors that I get below:

I uploaded the files via FTP and as instructed I copied all

files from the “UPLOAD” folder into the root folder of www.ticket.unvke.org

When I browse using the url http://ticket.unvke.org/setup/ I get

the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home1/unvkenya/public_html/ticket/include/class.format.php on line 222

When I browse using the url http://ticket.unvke.org/ I get the

following error:

Warning: require(admin.inc.php) : failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/unvkenya/public_html/ticket/include/settings.php on line 16

Fatal error: require() : Failed opening required 'admin.inc.php'

(include_path='./:/home1/unvkenya/public_html/ticket/include/:/home1/unvkenya/public_html/ticket/include/pear/')

in /home1/unvkenya/public_html/ticket/include/settings.php on line 16

Kindly advise where the problem could me and how I can

resolve this.

osTicket 1.8+ requires PHP 5.3+. From the look of that first error you are not using PHP 5.3+.

HI Ntozier,Thanks for your reply. I created a .htaccess file to make the server utilize php version 5.3. Now i get the message as attached. What should i do? Thanks

As the text of your screen capture suggests upload the config file again using FTP to replace the one which was changed during the aborted install.
