Mail Account (Optional) setup not working

Hello all,

I am trying to setup the "Mail Account (Optional)" area of the email settings screen for a particular email.

I have SMTP Settings (Optional) already setup and set to authenticate and it works fine (verified emails are sent out correctly as well).

However, when trying to setup Mail Account (Optional) with the same information (and set to POP), I get:

Invalid login. Check POP settings and

smtp.centradhealthcare.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Wed, 6 Jun 2012 09 -0500

I already verified that the correct username and pass are entered and as I mentioned already, SMTP Settings for outgoing email authenticates fine.

It should also be noted that if I try to set it to IMAP instead, I get a HTTP 500 internal error but PHP doesn't post to the logs and no events are created.

Any idea's? Thanks in advance!

Well, was able to resolve it today. Wasn't anything to do with osTicket, but a problem with our IMAP... All is well :

Sure, it was actually a two stage solution:

1. Since it was our first time needing IMAP, we didn't have it set to auto-on so it was off at the time of trying

2. Again, since it was our first time needing it, we didn't have firewall rules in place to allow it lol.

Simple solutions that we probably should have thought of before hand :
