inline images?

hi all, i've recently updated to 1.8.1 (from 1.8.0) and I'm experiencing problems with inline images.it seems that the online image is replaced with the "image" text.Html mail is ON, "/tmp" folder is 777 (writable)Where I can check to try to debug this problem? thanks in advance

I'm not sure that I follow you.When you say "it seems that the online image is replaced with the "image" text" where are you seeing this behavior?

I attach one or more inline image(s) to a test email, send it to osticket. when I open the ticket in osticket, i see "image" as text, but nothing attached.Same thing occurs if i try to insert an image responding a ticket, the user does not receive itthanks in advance for the support.stefano

I've asked the devs to take a look at this thread however I am not able to reproduce your issue. Do you use any email firewall devices/software (like the Barrcuda Spam Firewall)? What email client are you using? How are you sending your attachments? (embedded html email, or actual attachment)

I have the same problem. I have checked the html code from the browser. I can see that "image" is the ALT text from img tag. I think there is something wrong with the source link.<img src="cid.01020104.08040707@example.de" width="283" height="614" alt="image" />(the src part after @ is the email domain - i have changed this for this post).Maybe it's helpful to find out what's wrong.Joerg

Hi all, i've made further researches:The problem happens with both pop3/imap fecthing but only with lotus notes/domino mailing system.I've seen that mail format is like:This is a multipart message in MIME format.

Gmail opens and displays correctly this mail, and thunderbird can fect it clearly either through POP or IMAPbyestefano

Today a customer sends an email with inline images and the images were shown in the ticket thread. If i forward the same email with my thunderbird the ticket thead has no inline images (only the text "image"). In the email source i could see that the original email has an other content format than the email from thunderbird.best regardsJoerg
