Cut off ticket thread

I have the following issue:User submits ticket using web interface. He enters 400+ characters in his ticket. When a staff reviews the ticket in the staff panel, only 307 characters appear. While testing, I did see a variety in the number of characters actually displayed in the ticket thread.I am no PHP expert.Setup:Server 2012 STDIIS 8HeidiSQL 8.0.0.4396PHP 5.3.24

I checked the ost_ticket_thread table in the database, and the text there is also cut off. I entered some more text directly in the database, and this showed up in the ticket thread on the staff panel. Seems like the parser is not grabbing all the text???????

You have not supplied the version of osTicket that you are using. I have not experienced what you are describing and I am running 1.8.0.1. I'm presuming that when you say your running HeidiSQL (which is simply a SQL UI front end) that you are also running MySQL.

You are correct We have MySQL 5.6.14And we are running osTicket 1.8.0.1The issues seems to be intermittent. I tested a few different scenarios (with double space, extra lines, etc) and it does not always happen. I will keep an eye on it

Hello,we have the same issue. It looks likes it occurs with special chars like "é" but not always... (french)Thought utf8 encoding pb. Bur there is no regularity at first look...any idea ?1.8.0.2 and 1.8.1 bêta do the same... MariaDB 5.5
