I'm not sure why you would think that 1.8.0.1 would have this, it certainly wasn't in the announcement or new features list. Collaboration (a better implemented CC/BCC system) than my old mod is due out in 1.8.1. You're never going to get a hard commitment date on a release. I will say however that I have read on the forums that a DPR or RC release for it will be out in the next few weeks. So it doesn't sound like its that far away.
