I need help with customisation of osTicket

I was following this guide:

Trying to add a new field to osTicket. The field is visible in both the client and staff create a tick forms but when I submit the new data and load up the ticket, the ticket wont display fully.

I have added a table field called student_no to phpMyAdmin and edited all of the required fields in the osTicket and uploaded them to the server.

Is there anything I am missing or doing wrong? Thank you.

Almost everytime I made a coding error the ticket page has turned up blank. That would be my suggestion. Try to back out the new code you've added block by block and then revisit it.

Thanks, I'll try that right away. This occurred after I fixed a bigger problem where the help desk wouldn't load at all. I've been through the code a few times but maybe I overlooked something.
