Fresh install : unexpected T_FUNCTION in .... /include/class.format.php on line 222

Hi everybody,

I've tried to upgrade from v1.7.2 to V1.8, that didn't work so I decided to do a fresh install, now I am getting this message.

l cant figure out what causes this problem, I hope anybody else can ...

(NB I am installing this on a hoster, so I cannot check/change anything on the Linux side, however it worked before with V 1.7)

I have the exactly same error message. I tried to host it on 1and1 server.

I am also seeing this error on a fresh install of 1.8.0.1 on bluehost. Here are my host specs:Apache 2.2.26PHP 5.4.22MySQL 5.5.35-logI'm new to osTicket, so I am not sure where to begin looking. Thanks for any suggestions.

i solved my problem by setting the php version to 5.5.cheersben

thanks hahazzz, upon further inspection, I found I was actually on 5.2. Now that I updated, it seems to work.

I'm having this issue as well but I'm not able to change my PHP version (currently at 5.3 though so I meet the requirement).

The download page states the requirements are:

Web Server: Apache or IIS

PHP Version: 5.3+

MySQL Database: 5.0+

Is anyone else having this installation issue? osTicket Core, v1.8.0.1 is what I'm trying to install. I've erased the entire directory just in case and re-uploaded via FTP (binary) but was not successful getting the installer to run.

Joel, I would recommend that you start your own thread and post your server pertinent details and include the error message(s) that you are getting as well as the url that your using (see Please read before requesting assistance)

I have the exact same problem with 123-reg. my php version is 5.3 I have an 1.8 install with 1&1 that works fine.
