Installing 1.8 Issues

I am installing 1.8 and keep getting the same error when trying to access the setup page.Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/11/7153111/html/dev/osticket/include/class.format.php on line 222

This is a clean install of 1.8.1 and I am using Godaddy as the host, any ideas?

1.8.1 hasn't been released yet so I think that perhaps your running 1.8 or 1.8.0.1.I'm guessing that your host is not running the required PHP 5.3+. Please confirm.Please help us help you by reading and following the posting guidelines in this thread: Please read before requesting assistance.
