We are pleased to announce a hotfix release for osTicket, 1.8.0.1, which addresses several critical issues in the original 1.8.0 release.

Release HighlightsThis release fixes bugs reported from 1.8.0, introduces a few enhancements, and addresses a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the display of client contact information.

We strongly recommend upgrading your help desk to 1.8.0.1. No database migration is required, so the upgrade should not incur any downtime. Please refer to the release notes and the upgrade guide for complete instructions. If you are installing osTicket for the first time, then simply download v1.8.0.1 and follow the installation guide.

If you have made customizations to osTicket 1.8.0 and cannot merge from Git directly, you can use this patch manually upgrade your code to correct the issues.

Maintenance Release for 1.7 SeriesFor osTicket 1.7 users who are unable or unwilling to upgrade to the new 1.8 version, we’ve made a new maintenance release available, v1.7.4. This new version addresses a few issues from previous versions. These fixes have also been integrated into v1.8.0.1.
