Help with customizing template

Hi all I'm new to osticket and was hoping someone could help me out.

I'm trying to make my support page match me OpnCart website but i dont know a lot about PHP and could do with some help. Or better still hire someone who can do it for me as i dont have a lot of time.

Wgat i want is to have the header and footer from the main site pull into the support page.

Any help on how to get started would be greatly appreciated.

Well you can pull that info into the main site or you can just change the footer section and the header section to reflect the code from your template site.

In this folder there is the footer and header files : \include\client\

Backup the originals and then edit them to add the content.

The footer is html, the header top half is php so dont edit that, the remainder is html, but easy to add what you need.

This is only rough, but if you added this to the footer file it would display the same as you've on your site

I did warn u this is just rough code, so you maybe required to debug.

As you can see I have linked directly to your css files to produce the same color results as yours, once you inspect this code, it will give you an idea how to import the other header into the osticket header.

OK I just tried the code you posted and it didnt show the footer right.

Like I said it was tough, I have just gone and placed it on mine and it loads just like yours on your main site, so would depend how you're coding it yourself.

OK I have been playing around with the code again and have got the footer to look like the main site. There is just one thing that I can't seem to do and this is have the footer span the full width of the screen like it does on the main site. From looking at the code it looking like the footer div is sat inside the content div and I need it outside so it will span. I just can't seem to see where the content div is in the OSticket files.

OS Ticket is contained within a div call "container". In your OS Ticket install folder, look for styles/main.css. In there look for:

#container {

width;

margin auto 0 auto;

border solid;

text-align;

}

You would want to change it to something like:

#container {

width%;

margin auto 0 auto;

border solid;

text-align;

}

Keep in mind this will mess with the alignment of all of the other elements on the page, so you will definitely need to get knee deep in css to finish styling to match.
