PHP.INI SMTP Setting

While beta testing went well I am not moving over to a new SMTP server. I am using the PHP mail() function and have changed the SMTP setting in the php.ini file, but my mail is still being sent through the old SMTP server. I have double checked my settings, info.php shows the correct SMTP server. I have rebooted. Is there any other place this may be held up, temp files or something like that?

Yes, I have restarted the server, Lampp, which restarts everything I have also restarted the workstation itself, complete power down and restart.

have you checked in the control panel and in the email settings?

Check: Admin > Settings > Email Settings

and also each email account's SMTP settings:

Admin Panel > Emails > (Email Account) > SMTP Settings (Optional)

Found it! <facepalm>

I went through the PHP.ini file and the setting is correct. Went through the SMTP setting in the control panel and they were good there. So what was it.... Postfix! Somewhere along the line I setup postfix. Found the config file and there it was the old SMTP settings. I changed those and restarted xampp and I am now using the new SMTP. I have also updated my change log to reflect these changes.
