problem in setting up email fetching

I've downloaded OS ticket latest version and with the download I found two folders "upload" and "script" while i understand that i need to upload the whole contents of the "upload" folder into my server.

where as i can't understand where and in which folder should i put the contents of the folder "script" it has the automail.php and automail.pl files

Also while configuring my email address to remotely fetch emails using POP/IMAP polling, I am getting the following error message -

"IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled."

What does this mean ? have I missed out any where,

pleae assist me in getting this application up and running asap.

The script folder is for setting up piping. You do not need to put it anywhere unless you plan on using piping.

The error you are getting is because you do not have POP/IMAP turned on in PHP. If this is windows you simply you need to edit your php.ini and uncomment (or add) the following at the end:

extension=php_imap.dll

If this is Linux then make sure that you have the php-imap package installed. You can install it via:

sudo apt-get install php5-imap

If you do not have apt installed you can always use whatever package manager you do have installed.

Hallo thank you for replying,

I've Linux server.

But I don't know how to install PHP-IMAP package and i guess its done via SSH, so i've NIL knowledge about using SSH.

what should I do ?

If your web host is a virtual server or colo server that you have control over or your own server you can learn how to use SSH by googling "SSH Tutorial". I use Putty for SSHing exclusively you can find that on Google also. How to install the package is dependent on which flavor of Linux your server is running.

If your web host is a manged solution then you will need to talk to their technical support to find out if they will install it for you.
