Problem when email sender name is with accent

Hello,

I meet a problem with osticket, I searched during many days but I can't found the solution.

My first problem was in the subject / body, but I corrected that by applying this fix (http://osticket.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-993.html).

This fix is ok for subject / body, but not correct for the sender user name. If for example the sender is Chris BÔGADOR, when I receive the mail or when I consult the web interface I have only Chris B, the rest is not displayed and not recorded on the database.

Please help me :)

Try changing the character set on the ost_ticket email to utf8, then change the column character set on the email, name, and subject columns. There are various ways to do this I believe that the following SQL statements will take care of it. I have no idea what it will do to any existing data though.

alter table ost_ticket charset=utf8;

alter table ost_ticket alter column email,name,subject charset=utf8
