Hi,

I just installed osTicket, and I can't seem to get it to make new tickets from emails. Let me know if you need any screenshots or config files.

First off please take a look at your php error logs and let us know what your seeing for errors. If you do not know where your log resides you can check your php.ini for the error_log directive. If its not enabled you should probably enable it and try again to see if it's throwing any errors.

Secondly please let us know the a little more about your setup. Hosted? Same server? Server OS and ver? etc.

My setup:

VPS

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

Mail and Web Server on same server

Its not throwing any errors. Also, the mail server can send and receive, the issue is that osTicket isn't reading emails. Is there any way to test the IMAP/SMTP settings of osTicket?

Hi,

I found the problem. I changed the IMAP/SMTP host to localhost and now it's creating the tickets successfully. I don't know why that is, but its fixed now, so I'm not worried about it. Thanks again for all your help =)
