Hi,
I'm trying to install OSticket 1.6rc4 on an Ubuntu Linux server.
I'm using PHP v5.2.1 and mySQL v5.0.38
short_open_tag = on
When I go to http://mydomain.com/osticket/setup/index.php(http://mydomain.com/osticket/setup/index.php)
I get a form to fill out. If I deliberately fill it out wrong, I get errors and a request to fill it again. If I fill it out correctly, and click the install button, it jumps to:
http://mydomain.com/osticket/setup/index.php(http://mydomain.com/osticket/setup/index.php) which is a totally blank page - there is nothing there when I view page source.
When I look at my database using phpMyAdmin, I can see that no tables have been created in the database. I'm using the root mySQL account, so I don't think permissions are an issue.
Any ideas? One thing I'm a little suspicious about is that I think PHP is installed OK on my server, and mySQL is installed OK, but I'm not sure that PHP is talking properly to mySQL - when I pul up a phpinfo() page it doesn't say anything about mySQL, and I think it should? Would this cause the blank page after the Setup page?
Thanks for advice. -Steve
