Can not close ticket

Hey guys, having a little problem with osticket. It is not letting me close any tickets.

If I try to close the ticket it tells me there was a problem closing it:

then if I try to close it the tickets overview, it tells me that "0 of 1 selected tickets closed"

any help on this would be appreciated.

Couple questions for yah.

1. How are you trying to close the ticket? (With the action bar? or with the "Close on Reply" check box?)

2. Have you modified the distribution in anyway from stock (configuration doesn't count)

3. What department is the simons account in?

Is that the "Default Department:" under Admin Panel -> Settings?

What department is the ticket assigned to?

I have tried both ways. When I try the "close on Reply" the reply gets put in but the ticket does not close

yes, I had added the mod that always me to search AD for peoples names and emails and also added this mod to it:http://sudobash.net/osticket-assigned-to-column(http://sudobash.net/osticket-assigned-to-column)

simons account is under the "Support"

yes that is the default department.

ticket is assigned to "Support" we actually only have one department.

Hmm.

Try backing up your installation, and going back to the vanilla install with out the mods and see if it works. If it does then it is one of the mods that you installed. If it is not, then you may have discovered a bug.

I presume that you can edit/update tickets, and that it is just closing that is having issues?

yes it is just closing them is the problem.

I think it is assign to mod that I applied that is causing the problem but will try going back to vanilla and then just adding the mods one by one to see if the problem returns.

Will let you know with what I find.

In vanilla I am able to close tickets.

With the AD mod I am able to close tickets.

Once I added the Assigned to mod I am not able to close tickets anymore. Will continue to look into why that got broken since it seems from the comments on his page they already fixed the "cannot close ticket" issue.

That mod was written by scottro (he frequents here on the forums), I would grab the latest distribution from sudobash.net and if you are still having issues with closing tickets toss him a PM here. He's a great guy.

BTW, I notified scottro of the issue that you are experiencing and he said that he would take a look at it for you when he gets a chance. Although he assures me that it works fine on several of the installations that he administers.
