Hello community,
first I like to explain that osTicket is the first ticketing system I have ever installed. I love it and I don't want to change to another system.
But there is a massive problem with the handling of special characters:
- Incoming e-mail sender's name is not displayed well. For example: if the sender's name is "André" in osTicket it's shown as "Andr"
- My name contains special characters. If I put this name into the field for outgoing e-mails, NO e-mail is leaving my system and causes following error message:
Validation failed for: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?"Danyel=20Andr=C3=A9=20Photography"?=
- The same happens if the signature for outgoing mails contains special characters.
That means: it's totally unsecure if support mails leave the system or not.
Will this problem be fixed in one of the following versions or does anyone have a solution?
