[MOD-Request] A link to view tickets by Department

Hello,

I'm trying out osTicket and I have to say so far I really love it. I have to sell it to my boss before we can implement it and there is just one thing that would be helpful:

We have two departments that would use this. Facilities and Systems. I'm looking for a quick way for Facilities people to see all tickets assigned to the Facilities department and likewise for the Systems department. Its easy enough for me to do a search or sort but I need a simple way for "simple" people. ;)

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

If a user is member of "Facilities" dept. and he/she is NOT an admin, he/she will see only the tickets in his/her dept.

In the other hand, if a user is member of "Systems" dept. and he/she is NOT an admin, he/she will see only the tickets in his/her dept.

So, I think it's done in OsTicket by default.

Interesting. It makes sense that it SHOULD work that way but I have two test users created for each department. They can see tickets from both departments as long as the tickets aren't assigned to anyone. They are in the Staff group and not admins.

Ok, then go to:

-> admin panel -> staff -> user groups

At least, it should show two groups (or three, counting Admins group), one for each department.

Click in one of them, f.e. in "Facilities" one. It should just allow to see tickets in "Facilities" dept.

Repeat this step for the other user group.
