I would like to request for a modification to the system assigned Request Tracking numbers, currently assigned in the format 481714
i have adapted osTicket to work as an Electronic Filing System for cases in our Judiciary and its working wonders. i would like to further improve this by having the system automatically assign the newly filed case with the next Case Number available in that courthouse, in that case type
The system is as follows, there are a number of case types, and each has its own code such as below
Civil - RC
Penal - RP
Criminal - RPC
when the cases are at appeal level, an "A" is appended as shown below
Civil - RCA
Penal - RPA
Criminal - RPCA
There are 4 court levels, and these are also shown in the case number, namely
SC - Supreme Court
HC - High Court
TGI - Intermediate Court
PB - Primary Court
a short form of the courthouse together with the year of filing and a unique sequential number of that case type complete the case types, as shown below
RC 0362/11/TB/NYRGA (A civil case, filed in the year 2011, serial number 0362, in a primary court, in the Court house NYRGA)
RCA 0645/11/TGI/MHG (A Civil Case at APPEAL level, serial number 0645, filed in 2011, in an intermedaite court, in the Court house MHG)
What i would like is for the system to be customized, so that these numbers are generated automatically and assigned to the user at the time of filing. all the required fields are already included on the form that the users use.
Any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.
