I installed osTicket on a win 2003 Server. DB: MySQL 5.5. The db-user has full rights to the MySQL-Instance.
I got redirected to the setup page and was able to define the parameters: database, user, emails and so on. at first I gave a wrong db-user: an error occured -> perfect. I corrected the user and off it went. The page timed out after x-seconds, the db was created, the department and groups were defined, the ost-config.php was filled.
The config-table however does not contain any records. For this reason the login page ofcourse didn't work. After deleting the db twice and recreating the setup-procedure twice, I created the config- as well as the first staff-record manually. The page for the login could now be loaded.
Login: If I provide a wrong user name the answer comes immediately, if however the provided user name is correct (regardless if pwd OK or not) the page times out.
Ticket creation: The page times out.
no error is recorded any where (as far as I can see).
What am I doing wrong? any ideas?
