Sql 2008?

Greetings,

before I download and do a setup, can we use sql2008 on a remote server instead of the MYSQL locally? We run our other systems via 2008 and really don't want another SQL version for our lower lvl support to deal with.

Also whats the minimum windows OS that this will run, we have a choice of 2003 or 2008.

OST was written for MySQL. It would not be able to work with MS SQL 2008 with out some re-coding.
