Not getting New message appended when another a 2nd message is appended

Ok here is what I mean

Let's say one of my clients responds to an existing thread. I as an admin will get an alert saying that "New Message Alert"

Now before I reply to my client query, if that client goes and appends one more message I won't get any alert for this newly appended message. Is this a known issue? or are there any settings which can be done so that I can get ALL message alerts?
