Was wondering if there is an ability to have a "Billboard" option on the main page, where the Admin could post messages concerning system outages, all systems working normally, and etc.
Advantages: If the client reads the "billboard" on the main screen, and they know their issue is related to it, they would have no need to post a ticket.
Example:
. Welcome to your Helpdesk. To report a new issue please fill out the form below
. Please be advised that on 08/08/11 email will be down for system upgrades
. Please be advised that on 08/09/11 network will be down due to planned outage
If your problem is not related to the above, please submit a trouble incident.
Disadvantage: Not all clients read what's on the screen, must be updated manually.
