I after following the awesome instructions found in these forums for adding new fields to my tickets, am no trying to figure out how to add the %variable for canned responses and reply emails, such as the ones listed already but I wish to add one to that. example:

I added the field Artist:

I went through and now the clients may Type in who the artist is and it also shows up on the staffs side as it should. I know want to add it so it can be used in the canned replies example

Dear %name,

Thank you for submitting your request for %artist we will be in contact at a later date with their answer.

any ideas or can someone tell me which file I need to be looking at to do this, thank you.

open up class.ticket.php and find this line...

//Replace base variables.

Look at the block of code directly below that.

I had tried to view the %{ticket.user.code} in the email response New Message Alert.

But it seems the value of the variable does not work.
