[MOD Request] Osticket and Nagios integration

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has had any success in getting emails sent out by Nagios logged as tickets in osTicket? It sounds possible based on the features of this great application but I do not know to do it. I would be grateful if someone can shed light on how to accomplish this as it will save us tons of time having to manually log a ticket everytime Nagios sends out a critical alert email. Thanks.

It is almost want I need with an extra requirement that all the Nagios email alerts be automatically logged onto the system and be displayed as well. Surely something like this should be able to be implemented as it is my understanding that osticket can create tickets from mails sent by client??? I would really appreciate help in this regard. Thank you in advance.

I would assume that it would be completely possible that you create a ticket from a nagios alert. I will look into it tomorrow when I'm in front of my Nagios setup. I haven't looked into doing it yet because we have a number of network printers on our Nagios setup that I would not want sending alerts/tickets into OS Ticket. I will look into dumping those into a host group that does not send email alerts and then work on implementing the mod you're looking for. Also, if you're interested, I posted another pretty interesting mod earlier today involving OS Ticket/Nagios/Cacti/Naglite.

I am definetely interested in your other MOD. I actually use OSTicket/Icinga/Observium monitoring systems and it would be incredible if I could have a way of bundling the UI for a typical NOC setup:-). Can you please upload the files here if possible?
