How to Setup osTicket?

Hi,

I am New in osTicket. I installed wamp server in My Win XP SP2.

I installed osTicket in wamp server , Its Installed fine & I am very happy with It.

Now I want to Buy Linux Host & Make osTicket online for support.

My Queries are Followings :

(1) If I have EMail Id like support@mydomain.com, then Is it Possible that if Client Mail Me on this EMail Id osTicket create Ticket it self & Reply with auto responce & ticket id?

(2) If I have more than three EMail Ids as said above like support@mydomain.com, helpdesk@mydomain.com etc. How to Configure Mail Id's to osTicket?

I am Sorry but I am New in osTicket & Confused. Wamp server is not support Email Sending & Receiving so I can not Get it working.

I Request to Give Me Step-by-Step Instruction or Guide.

I read the EMail wiki but not understand.

I have www.domain.com(www.domain.com) & support@domain.com . . . . ok :)

I dont have ssl enable on host. I have currently use mail.domain.com for emails. Port : 25

I installed osTicket on server. How can I setup emails in osTicket? Is there any Step-by-Step Guide.:

This post is in the wrong area of the forums and should have been posted in "Installation and Setup Help".

More specific instructions than those included in the email setup wiki would be dependent upon OS/Mailserver Software.

Short version is:

1. setup a username and password (with email address) in your mail server.

2. configure that address in OST and select the protocol that you want to use to get email.

3. setup cron/task scheduler to run the cron.php every so often (5 minutes is the recommendation in the email wiki) to collect email and make new tickets.
