Combo box customization

Hi, I'm trying to do the following:

On the opening page of tickets (open.php), I need so users can select the department, after that selection in another combo will display a help topic based on your selection above.

I was trying to do exactly what you want to do. I looked into updating the page when the combo box value was changed, but it seemed to be a little more than what I have time to do. Instead, I created another page in between index.php and open.php that has a combo box requesting the department the ticket will be assigned to. That page then posts the id of the department to open.php and I use it to get from the database only the help topics that match that department. I can provide examples and other help if you decide to use this method.
