I have been using OSTicket for years and LOVE IT! Today I decided it was time to add a mod (merge tickets) because this is a fairly needed feature for me. After trying unsuccessfully to utilize the info found at: http://osticket.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2462.html(http://osticket.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2462.html) (which points to openscript.com for actual script info) I finally gave up on that option. The code which we are directed to located in v 1.6 does not exist in my files.
I then tried the option found at davebarbour.com that utilizes the already modified files that you simply add to your directory(s) by replacing the original files. Seemed to work like a charm until I got emails advising of database error #1054 and also discovered that I can't modify (add to) any existing tickets. I get "Unable to post the response."
Now it appears I am back at zero...
Is it REALLY this hard to add the merge ticket function?
