Help with Settings "Save Changes"

I am trying to enable captcha, alerts and notices and autoresponders global settings but when I try to "Save Changes" I get "Internal Error" and it will not allow me to save the changes.

I can see next to email settings > System Admin Email Address: a red notice shows up " * Email already setup as system email" but I am not trying to change that.

Any suggestions?

It doesn't like if that email address is specified for other things.

ie if admin panel -> settings -> System Admin Email Address is test@test.com

then it doesn't want you to use that for admin panel -> settings -> Default System Email.

I tried selecting a different email from the drop-down options in admin panel -> settings -> Default System Email and it still gave me the error message.

I tried changing the admin panel -> settings -> System Admin Email Address one and it still gave me an error message...any other suggestions?

I really, really want to use this product but I am stuck with the settings savings. No matter what I try with the email address, it keeps giving me an error...any suggestions please?

Are you using either other those email addresses as an users email address?

IF you set all the email addresses to unique addresses you should not get that error. You could (and I do not recommend it) go into the DB and change the addresses after you save.

I've done that for my installation. But it also means that it doesn't like when/if I have to change settings in admin panel -> settings.

Therefore I cannot save either one due to the error message

It has nothing to do with default system email. The system is simply trying to prevent you from using one of the system emails as an admin email. It's done to prevent loops (since admin email gets alerts and notices...etc).

Change admin email to something else or delete it from system emails in Admin Panel -> Email Tab.
