Case-insensitive captcha

Really love that you guys have your own captcha solution. One thing I'd like, though is for it to be case-insensitive. I tried just changing strcmp to strcasecmp in open.php, but i'm assuming the string is hashed. Is there any mod or solution for getting a case-insensitive captcha solution?

I've never encountered a captcha field on any web site that is case sensitive--until now.
